This grant includes $20,000 that is restricted for use in 2002 and will support the expansion of this project as it adds a second year to the academic program. Artists for Humanity has received a number of grants, beginning in 1993, for a variety of creative programs in the areas of youth intervention and entrepreneurial activity. In the first grant of it’s kind, the CARLISLE trustees have elected to make a capital grant to assist in the purchase and renovation of a permanent building to house this exciting organization. The building, which will be located in South Boston, will provide space for the wide variety of agency arts projects, provide for exhibition space and will enhance the organization’s ability to expand its entrepreneurial activities.
